Dr. Nicholas Boggs is an ABOFP board certified family medicine physician. He graduated with honors from Albion College in 2006 with his Bachelors of Arts in Biology. He then pursued his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences graduating in 2010. Dr. Boggs then completed his Family Medicine Residency in 2013 at Oakwood Annapolis Hospital, part of the Michigan State University Statewide Campus System. Today, his residency program is now recognized as Corewell Health Wayne Hospital Family Medicine Residency. There, Dr. Boggs won the first ever Dr. Michael Worzniak award for excellence in family medicine in 2013. At the same time, he was awarded the 2013 STFM Award for excellence in teaching during residency training.
After his training, Dr. Boggs started his career as teaching faculty at his Family Medicine Residency program. In 2015, he became Osteopathic program director. In 2017, Dr. Boggs completed his training at the Beaumont Health Physician Leadership Academy. At the end of 2022, Dr. Boggs ended his 10 year teaching career electing to focus on his outpatient family practice in Newport, MI. In December 2023, he resigned from Corewell Health and founded Kolbe Medical where he serves as medical director and family medicine physician. At Kolbe Medical, he plans to bring faith and human dignity back into medical practice.
Dr. Nicholas Boggs is a practicing Catholic and member of St. Charles Parish in Newport, MI. Dr. Boggs and his beautiful wife, Amber, have 3 children and are proud members of the Newport and Monroe, MI community. Dr. Boggs enjoys athletics and coaching his children in his free time. His wife, Amber Boggs, has also dedicated herself to the service of teaching through Jefferson Schools. Amber will serve as Chief Financial Officer at Kolbe Medical.
